No author has ever gotten their hooks in my attention like Rebecca Zanetti has with her Deep Ops series - a team of misfits and outcasts with their weird, quirky habits and their quest for justice & getting their HEA.
Driven is the 4th book in the series - and it’s time we finally get the deets on Angus Force; the grumpy and rude head of the Deep Ops team. Nari, the team’s psychologist, is the smart, intelligent and the classy aspect that looked so out of turn with the Force’s team.
Angus’s tortured past had me almost sobbing for the man - his obsession with a serial killer that he knew wasn’t dead; and in the face of everyone believing that he has lost his mind, the strength that required had me cheering for the man.
Nari’s revelation of the reasons why she was working for the team and her past was a surprise - but it shouldn’t have been. Zanetti does her best work with three dimensional characters and Nari was no exception at all.
Full of action, wonderful appearances from the some very beloved characters of the team and the climax had me sitting up - because I did not see that coming!
As always, if you love romantic suspense filled with some amazing banter, intriguing plotline and characters to root for, then this book and this series is a definite must read!
