My Body by Emily Ratajkowski

To be honest, I never cared about Emily. She was just another celebrity making money and gaining fame for her beauty. So I am surprised about how much I liked reading the book. She is a compelling writer and she managed to paint her world so vividly it made the reading process so pleasant. It makes you realize that we all have this internalized misogyny and jealousy towards beautiful women, even in small degrees. Whilst I don't agree with a lot of her views I see her in a new way, maybe the way she is ought to be viewed. As a human being with every right to fight for the autonomy of her body.
