The Grace Year by Kim Liggett
5.0
Probably not quite a full 5 stars, but 4.5 is close enough!
Anyway, I was really surprised to find how much I loved this book. I really didn't expect to. YA hasn't been my thing lately, but a good dystopia apparently makes that thought null and void! Anyway, I loved our protagonist and how she was so pragmatic and observant in some ways. The Grace year was such a cruel and terrible thing to do, the whole concept beggars belief... except for the fact that I can totally see it happening, because even now women are still not on equal footing. It was a fast paced read for me and I don't think my attention strayed the entire time.
