I think this is my first 5 star read of the year, I think my reading list is very poor or my moods are just not for it.
This book was a breath of fresh air, fast paced, filled with adventures and mystery, lies and deceit.

I loved how Larkin evolved from being nothing to finding herself. You can see how a little bit of power can change the life of the oppressed. Also if proves how, no matter what life throws at you, an honest person will stay steadfast.
All the characters have depth, all well developed, even the ones that appears once or twice during the whole book.
The story kept me glued to the screen until I finished it.

It is a story about old magic and how the human will twisted it into something damaged and hurtful. It is enchanting and mesmerizing. I loved it.
