Malamander by Thomas Taylor

5.0

This is a great story of friendship & I feel about found family. It follows Herbie Lemon, who lives in the basement of the Grand Nautilus Hotel as the Lost -and - Founder of things for the hotel and a girl who burst into his window one night and cries, Hide me!
The girl turns out to be, a Lost -and - Founder project named Violet Parma.
Violet has a mission for Herbie should he agree to be her "detective", that is what he does, right?
I really loved the adventure that they end up taking, Violet's parents disappeared one night without a trace after researching some folklore about a creature called a Malamander, in the beach town of Eerie-on-Sea. Was their disappearance because they got too close? Leaving Violet to be found in the hotel room alone by the police.
There are others in town trying to solve the mystery of the Malamander as well, before Violet & Herbie as well, who will do it first?
I can't wait to see where Taylor takes this series! I rate it
