Milk and Honey by Rupi Kaur

2.0

i think this book would give this guy from my workshop an actual, physical heart attack after he saw the line breaks. you're killin' me, kaur.

the emotions are clearly there but i didn't feel like the author had a very clear grasp of poetry as craft that takes, you know, effort, vs poetry as something you write in 3 minutes and put up on twitter so everybody knows how cool and articulate and personal-yet-universal your angst is.

i totally understand the hype but i've read too much poetry to think this is good, i guess.
