I thought I wouldn't enjoy this book as much as novel #1 in the Bright Falls collection -- Delilah Green Doesn't Care -- but I actually enjoyed this one more! Astrid Parker is the sort of personality I would not get on with irl so I was skeptical of reading this one, but seeing the inner workings of her brain, watching her grow and overcome her trauma, following her on her sexuality awakening, it was all quite moving. This book has the same cheesy American rom-com vibes as Bright Falls #1, but I honestly loved it! The bookending themes were beautiful and made me giddy, and I was left feeling so proud and happy for the main characters.
