TRIGGER WARNINGS: Depression, Bullying, Racism, PTSD, Death
I made the mistake of reading this after being high with a contemporary book, and it made me BAWL my eyes out.
It was painstakingly painful and I cried for an hour straight.
I like that the romance was not the main plot of the book but more on the sacrifices that both of the characters had made. The racism issue and the PTSD that had happened was something that had been addressed properly in the manhwa. The author did a good job on portraying how, after the Korean Post-War, after everything that had happpened, not everyone had stayed the same.
I cried for two hours straight reading this. The fact that this manhwa had highlighted about their friendship building up from the love of music. The last part just broke my heart so badly. I honestly would recommend this for anyone who needed a good cry. I'll suggest listening to Me After You by Paul Kim because the lyrics hit differently while reading this manhwa. It has only 36 volumes so the story was concise and is not draggy which I appreciate.
