Not me taking so long to write this review because I knew I took inadequate notes while reading, so I kept putting off making sense of what little I did have written. RIP me.

Anyway.

I loved this! Talia Hibbert did not let me down with this grumpy/sunshine romance! She never steers me wrong, and we love to see it.

As always, my favorite part of this book were the characters. Jacob started out as such a jackass, but I loved every second of it. He was so rude. Why was I so weak at the knees for it? He had a stick up his ass, and you know what? I totally understood it. Eve, on the other hand, acted like such a little princess at the start of this book, and I also loved her. Especially because I could understand her fear of commitment stemming from being scared of failing at something she loves. That's how I feel about my writing all the time.

The romance between Jacob and Eve was just so much fun. All the scenes of them having to grudgingly acknowledge they respect each other and, god forbid, like each other? So perfect. Seeing Eve grow increasingly committed to both Jacob's Inn and Jacob himself? Be still my heart. And the fact that they were both Autistic? We love to see it.

Let it be known, as well, that any day I am ready to meet Jacob's parents in the pit to fight. I understand not being cut out to be parents. But thinking your child lesser for not being able to do things as a neurotypical person? This is where I get ready to fight.  Call 911 because I’m about to commit a murder.

So. Yeah. I just loved everything about this. If I could change anything, I would add more smut. Otherwise, this is perfect. Is it as good as Get a Life? I'm not sure, but I sure know I had so much fun reading it!
