The Hidden Life of Dogs by Elizabeth Marshall Thomas

informative reflective medium-paced

1.0

Why does she write like this is a scientific review when there is absolutely nothing scientific about this? She tries to give a preface by saying, "these are just my observations", but that's quickly thrown out as she attempts to explain every observation with some made up deeply encoded trait of dogs. I was bored and annoyed at the constant anthropomorphizing. At least the drawings at the start of each chapter (not hers) are cute.
