Even the Darkest Stars by Heather Fawcett
3.0
This book was okay. I liked the main character, Kazmin, and she was the only one who held my interest. She was determined and definitely brave, but I didn’t really care much for the other characters. There was a little bit of a love triangle going on, but frankly I wasn’t shipping Kazmin with either boy, so that fell flat for me.
The story itself was entertaining, but the whole book was slow, in my opinion. Kazmin and the group she’s with are traveling to this enormous mountain in search of a relic in an ancient city, so the pretty whole book is just them walking. Honestly, I would’ve been more engaged with this book I hadn’t been distracted by ACOFAS sitting three feet from me waiting to be read next!!
I don’t have much else to say about this book. It was average for me, but I think others would still find it an interesting story.
