‘Hows it fair that even though the cops down there might know who did it nothing will probably ever happen to those men? It ain’t’.
I wish I would have read this in elementary. This is the type of literature that needs to be present in schools. It’s still very fitting with the times. What the Watson’s witnessed is still happening in present day. Nothing has changed and hate and racism still exists. This was told from the perspective of a child and still as adults we ask ourselves the same questions. Such a good read.
