Night Road by Kristin Hannah

5.0

I never thought I would read a book that would gut me as much, if not more so, than any Colleen Hoover book. Night Road did exactly that.
I sobbed throughout a large part of this book, the ugly kind of sobbing too.
These characters were all so fleshed out and this plot felt way too realistic to be characterized as a fiction novel.
Night Road has you questioning everything you ever thought about drunk driving and the decisions we make as teenagers that we don't realize will have long lasting impacts.
I cried with these characters, rallied behind these characters and got upset for these characters.
It is books like these that make me forget that I am reading something made up and really let me get lost in the world.
Thank you Kristin Hannah for this beautiful beautiful piece of work, your novel is going to stay with me for a long, long time.
