Cinder by Marissa Meyer
4.5
Okay, legit like 4.5 just for a few minor things and not quite being a full five stars but IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOD!! I'm yelling at myself for only just now getting to this. Especially because I know I would have absolutely LIVED for this series if I read it when it was first realized when I was a little younger. Absolutely amazing world building. I'm a hoe for supreme world building and this is definitely it. Also I just loved Cinder, and really all the characters. Cinder is so freaking sarcastic, just like me and I was living for it!
I think the only thing I'm really knocking a quarter of a star off for was because I basically figured out all the plot twists, way before It was revealed and I also wish we got a little more character depth and I was connected to the characters a little bit more. Especially Kai! I feel we don't get to know much about him and his past and I would have absolutely loved to. Same with Peony and a few others characters. I will say I feel these characters have a bit more to them then other Marissa Meyer books though which was great.
So yeah hardly stuff I can really chalk up to the author. I just flew through this book and read it in about two days, having to work and everything. It got me immediately hooked and kept me hooked all the way through. There wasn't a moment t o was bored with this book.
I'm just so freaking excited to get to the rest of this series now!
