The Sentence by Louise Erdrich
5.0
As with all of Erdrich’s novels, there seems to be a fine line between truth and fiction. I’m not convinced some of these stories she tells are actually fiction. This story is one of Erdrich’s more diverse tales. There is so much history and complexity packed effortlessly into one book. In 20 years when English Majors are studying her books, this one will standout with its exceptional depiction of the last few years and the events that will continue to impact American life.
As a side note, as I read this book I kept stopping to add books mentioned to my to-read list, and then I got to the final chapter which is just a long list of book recs (*chef’s kiss*).
