Came out the gate running with my first book of the year. CC had been on my list for a long time but the first few (dozen) pages had always been daunting to me. Anyway - once you get through the hike that is the world building, it’s so worth it. The characters are well rounded, the atmosphere is electric and while the story is predictable at times, there are so many twists toward the end my head was spinning. SJM has a way of really making her characters seem like friends and it’s always a relief when things (for the most part) work out.  Light it up.
