The Unlikely Romance of Kate Bjorkman by Louise Plummer

5.0

Through the guise of writing a romance novel, Kate Bjorkman tells the story of her first boyfriend. Her love for brother’s best friend is finally reciprocated when he stays with the family over Christmas break. Kate deals with competition, frenemies, and misunderstandings. She eventually finds happiness with Richard and discovers her true friends.

The voice in this book is astonishing. It felt like I knew Kate personally. It was also hilarious and very descriptive. The tangents and commentary were very unique and helped the story’s unique style.
