I always find reviewing memoirs and biographies difficult. How do I judge the quality of someone retelling their lives?
Here is what I will say. The book is written well, and it's clear this is about ending the narrative and taking control. Which is great but it is a bit empty because she doesn't want to go through explicitly anything. She is not expected to but when it's all out there it does feel a little empty.
I also feel the book came out quickly pushed by the publishers to have the public interest still high. It could have used some more editing.
I am glad she was able to find peace and support and wish their family healing.
