Sorrow & Bliss by Meg Mason
5.0
Absolutely loved the portrayal of mental illness in this book!
The book starts in the present, weaves it’s way backwards and then ends in the present again. It tells the story of a woman’s struggle with the world and her personal life before, during and after being misdiagnosed.
I loved the fact that mental health wasn’t romanticised as it can be in some books. Instead, it made the main character difficult, irritable and frustrating at times which made her feel so real. I also found the book incredibly funny, the ascerbic wit was second to none!
So deserving of 5 stars and I really look forward to reading more of this author!
