Black History in Its Own Words by Ron Wimberly
3.0
The art was great and the book introduced me to a number of figures--artists, musicians, writers, activists--who I'd not heard of before.
I'd have liked a different kind of organization of the figures (maybe chronological?), and I'd have liked Wimberly's name to be more present. It's only on the spine and on the publisher's copyright page. His name isn't even in the cover design. A big miss for Image Comics in proper promotion of its Black artists.
