It's a 2.5 stars for me. Better than Feral, but not as good as Expert and Forbidden.
I guess it's the usual with AH. The fast pacing and instalove/instalust truly doesn't work for me, even in omegaverse with fated mates. I rather have them getting to know each other, instead of the two MCs ripping each other clothes after a couple of interactions, at least when it isn't erotica.
The chemistry was a bit better in comparison to the previous book, but I found the couple annoying again. Liam had many moments where he acted insufferable. It's ironic because this time, contrary to Feral, I felt bad for Jules now, that guy is traumatized... have some respect for your brother please. Same for Eric. I don't blame Liam, but I hate it when characters make the love interest the center of their world to the point of ignoring everything else (this depends on the circumstances, but still). It's pathetic, please stand up.
I also feel that this became boring too fast. Yes, some of the push and pull and 'trying to fight attraction' was nice, which is why this has a higher rating than the previous one, but hafway through the book I just wanted it to end. The whole Anthony's identity "mystery" felt like a joke, it was solved too easily and without a real threat. I wished AH went all the way with the forbidden theme, at least that would've kept my attention.
I guess Liam and Jon aren't too bad. But I'm glad I finished this book lol, not touching it ever again.
