THE PERFECT SUMMER READ! Adventures along the way with Adalyn and Cooper traveling the world from Spain to London, and other amazing places, it felt like I was on a mini vacation with them too! I had been eagerly waiting for this book to be released and as always, I’m an avid reader, fan, and lover of all things created by the wonderfully, creative Hannah Cowan. This story followed, Adalyn Hutton, the youngest of the Hutton family, and Cooper White, Adam White’s son, and long time family friend. This story had so many fantastic tropes from age gap, brother’s best friend/ best friend’s sibling (little sister), summer vibes, accidental marriage, swoon worthy romance, SPICE, funny banter, and much more! Of course, even seeing familiar faces from the first generation such as, Adam, Scarlett, Ava, Oakley, and then there was Maddox, Braxton, and others, it was all heartwarming to see these characters I’ve come to know and love deeply. Adalyn and Cooper had me excited, and the beginning set the tone for what I was going to read which was, a wildly, exciting time!

For the longest time, Adalyn had been planning her long awaited trip to Europe since she was sixteen, and now with the time finally arriving she was ready to jet set off on a world win adventure. Even in, “Her Greatest Mistake”, Adalyn had always talked about wanting to travel to Europe so, finally getting to see her do it was great, and with Cooper alongside her it made it even more intriguing for me to read! A big part of this story revolved around Adalyn and Cooper traveling a lot so, it was a nice change of pace compared to them being in their hometown or familiar areas. In a way, while reading it gave me glimpses into all the different places Addie and Cooper traveled to. I would say this book definitely hit the spot to read during the summer time, but you could honestly read it whenever you want.
Within the first few chapters, I was already smiling, laughing, feeling lighthearted, and genuinely happy at seeing familiar faces from the other series. When I read how old everyone was especially Oakley and Ava, it made me realize, “omg these aren’t the same twenty something year olds I once read about a few years ago!” It’s coming full seeing everyone as parents, and the kids going off doing their own things from Adalyn, Cooper, and Maddox and Braxton (from the first book “Her Greatest Mistake”). Even getting moments of Tiny (Tinsley a.k.a. Sierra & Braden’s daughter) let me get a bit of insight as to how she was now that she was older, and I cannot wait to read her story with Adalyn’s brother, Noah!
Now this isn’t a spoiler since it’s literally written in the book blurb, but…OMG ADDIE AND COOPER GETTING MARRIED?! OMG! After a drunken night, the next morning Addie and Cooper discovered they got married! Well at least Adam didn’t have to worry about finding someone for Cooper anymore lol! The idea of Adalyn and Cooper being married was unexpected, but also amazing because, what started off as an accidental marriage ended up becoming so much sweeter and enjoyable along the way for Cooper and Adalyn. I kid you not, I was LITERALLY waiting for that iconic moment when Cooper would refer to Adalyn as his wife in either a passionate romantic moment or in a protective alpha way. Either way I was vibing along and enjoying the story the more I read. I love marriages of convenience but this type of marriage was another kind I absolutely loved!
OMG OMG OMG OMG HANNAH! GIRL YOU BROUGHT THE EXCITEMENT AND THE WOW FACTOR YET AGAIN ESPECIALLY WITH ADDIE AND COOPER’S SPICY SCENES! This was the book that just kept on giving and when it came to the spicy scenes….I had goosebumps, excitement humming within me, jaw dropping, squealing and screaming for joy! Like…WOW! Do not be deceived by Cooper’s well mannered personality because, that man had a switch that flipped when Addie told him about her spicy list of things she wanted to do! The things that Cooper said and did in this book, HAVE MERCY! I never imagined those words tumbling out of his mouth, but I. WAS. LOVING. EVERY. SECOND. OF. IT! The spice in this book was another level from a little public fun at a certain beach while in Paris to other things Cooper and Addie got up to, the chemistry and sexual tension in this book was chef’s kiss!
Adalyn and Cooper had a great friendship in the beginning of the story and once things got romantic between them, their connection grew even stronger. I absolutely loved the chemistry and lighthearted relationship between Addie and Cooper, they each brought out something in each other that was purely unique and wonderful. Cooper was more outgoing and taking chances as opposed to sticking to his people pleasing ways and for the first time in a long time, Addie felt truly taken care of, safe, and protected by someone she trusted wholeheartedly. Between laughter, steamy passionate moments, and deep conversations, Adalyn and Cooper got to know each other on a deeper level even though they’d grown up together since they were younger. Add into the mix the accidental marriage and I was on top of the world anytime Cooper called, Addie his wife and “love” (sigh) I was swooning and overjoyed at seeing Cooper and Adalyn be together in such a beautiful way that had me captivated and happy for them.
LET’S GIVE A BIG ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR MY GIRL, HANNAH! WOO! HANNAH YOU ONCE AGAIN KILLED IT WITH THIS NEW BOOK! Adalyn was a fierce, confident, free, loving, sassy, and feisty woman that I absolutely adored and loved! Copper was equally amazing and my goodness what a man he was! Cooper was so caring, protective, strong, artistic, thoughtful, sweet, and came out of his shell in a number of ways that surprised me in the best way possible. Like I always say, when it comes to the universe that Hannah has created, I have come to know and cherish these characters so much that I’ve felt like I’ve been along for the ride over the course of their lives from college students, becoming parents, and their kids now having their own stories which I loved as well. Seeing familiar faces from Oakley, Ava, Adam, Scarlett, to Maddox, Braxton, and even a bit more of Tinsley and Noah was a great part of the story. What was suppose to be a fun, easy trip across Europe quickly became a memorable experience for both Adalyn and Cooper, and I enjoyed every bit of it. So many fantastic parts of the story that had me swooning, kicking my feet, multiple jaw dropping moments for me, and feeling an immense sense of happiness! Hannah’s books always make me smile and I cannot express enough how much I love her books and her! Adalyn and Cooper were phenomenal and with this book having so many amazing things by the end of the story to the epilogue, it was all wrapped up nicely. I’m a sucker for epilogues and the way Hannah wrote me had me going “awww” and feeling sentimental. I can’t wait to read Noah and Tinsely’s story, definitely going to be a different take on Hannah’s usual male characters but I have faith it’ll be another fantastic story!
