while rereading this book, i wrote a private list of all the scenes that felt like they could have been taken straight out of my life, and wow, there was a lot. it's incredible to feel like someone understands me, even if that someone will never know I exist.
this book deals very openly and honestly with taboo topics, including not only gender confusion but menstruation, sexuality, masturbation, gynecologist appointments. it definitely has some "uncomfortable" illustrations, but it's not meant to shock or arouse, it just... is. because it's part of life.

A very honest and deep memoir with beautiful illustrations.
