You, with a View by Jessica Joyce

5.0

Wow, I loved this book so much! I recently lost a family
member I was close with and looked up to, and this book really hit some soft spots of familiarity, touching on the grief of loosing a role model, support system, and confidant. I teared up a bit at times! The book is well written, and Joyce did a great job at portraying the confusing and tumultuous emotions that you go through in the months following a that type of loss. Another element that attracted me to this book is Joyce’s ability to so accurately describe the emotions through their actions and mannerisms, that I could picture the characters interactions like I was watching a movie.

On the lighter side, there are some cute moments, some humor and wit, and the romance is both spicy and really heartfelt. Yes, there are a few corny moments, but Theo is a swoon worthy book boyfriend and the relationship felt believable to me.

Highly recommend “You, With a View” for romance lovers, just be warned you might get misty eyed! I’ll be keeping an eye out for other works by this author.
