Oh man, I so wanted to like this book. I loved the Entangled with Fae series and was more than willing to love this one. I'll still give the second book a chance but this one did not do it for me. The voice actors were fine, but the characters felt charmless and just so... cliché? Archetypes, maybe? The fae court things are ruined thanks to that damn Sarah J Maas and somehow William feels like a coward and a bad piner, and Edwina's naivete feels stale and overused in the genre.
I am so sorry.
Maybe it's more of a me problem and I'm getting to the end of my rope when it comes to romance?
Hopefully, I'll find a book this year proving me wrong. Sadly, this is not the one.
