I read this years after I first started the series, so I forgot pretty much very thing that had taken place before this book. If I had just binged this series it would have been a lot better.

I also think the series could have been one big book instead of trilogy. But since it's for a MG audience and huge books tend to scare them, I can see why it was spread out.
