What a twisted read! Camille works for a small newspaper in Chicago. Shes a reporter who mainly works the crime beat. After some time in the psych ward she has returned and is given an assignment to return to her hometown and report on the murder of a child and the disappearance of another. Camille reluctantly decides to take on this project despite not being close with her family. Her kid sister died when she was young. Her mother is neurotic, bitter, and a hypochondriac. Her half sister she barely knows. As Camille juggles her work and her family, she finds herself identifying with the young victims very strongly and its starting to bring up her own demons. Camille does all she can to find justice and survive this homecoming. Who is killing these girls? Why does Camille feel such a strong identity towards them? And does she secretly know who’s been doing it all along?
This was a quick and interesting read with many many characters playing into the mix!
