Okay, so while this wasn't an EXACT filler book, but it was pretty close. I still loved it though!!

It had all of the dark and beautiful writing as the first one, the hot romance, and enough action to sate me. While I did hate that Celine's memories were taken away (I hate that because it's like the whole first book didn't happen) and the "unknown-royalty" trope, it was still a good story.

I do want to point out that I did enjoy the 1st person POV of Bastien chapters. I liked getting a look into his head after he was turned into a vampire.

Is it bad that I kinda hope Celine is turned into a vamp or werewolf too?

I look forward to "The Righteous" in the coming year.
