This had the making of a great book but it failed to deliver. I cannot say that nothing happens but the story never really takes off. A lot of things do happen that on their own would be interesting but they do not actually get explored or tie in to the story in any way so it all falls flat. The prose and premise were good, but there was no plot to grip you.
