Heartbreaking. I agree with reviewers below, not since Atonement have I felt so "emotionally cheated" and unsettled after finishing a book. I fell madly in love with Dex and Em, and towards the end of the book, I wanted to peek ahead but willed myself not to. After they got together, each chapter was like "are they still together??" and I was over the moon to find out they were. That's when the rug got pulled out from under me and...what can I say? I barely got through the end of the book. I just teared up watching the trailer for the movie, for pete's sake!! I'm a sucker for happy endings though, which is why 4 instead of 5 stars.
