The hijab passage in the book that I read was rather unsavory. As a hijabi, I felt super uncomfortable reading it and had hoped (since I was reading an excerpt) that it was just out of context, but no. Despite this book being by a Muslim, it reads rather negative to me. If you aren't Muslim I'm sure you could read through it and enjoy the romance but this was disappointing for me.
