This is one of the two series I've ever reread (the other on was The Hunger Games), so when I saw the graphic novel versions at my local library I grabbed them like they held the secrets of the universe. I loved the graphic novel so much more than the actual novel, I just love the story. It has the fairly cliche plot of the elitist pairing up with the rebel (going from enemies to allies) who not only fight government corruption but a plague as well (and yes, they do kiss), but the characters are so different, smart and well written. They don't make irrational decisions that most characters in 90% of YA novels make, and the plot has enough unique little surprises and plot twists that I can't help worshiping this series as if it were a religious text.
