I will say that the MMC character development could have been better. He felt very “artificial” like I couldn’t really picture him beyond the pages.

The way he calls her sweet girl and protects her through this entire book is cute. He makes her feel safe and secure. The character development was good ish, and I was happy to continue this series.

I do like that it feels like it’s all written by the same author in the best way possible, but all the characters are distinctly different, in speech, personality, struggles…it feels like a group of friends, all a little different.

I will say that it was a little repetitive. The whole thing about the music, and the you hate me is getting a little old. But that could be just me reading too many romance novels. I do like how that wasn’t the only struggle though. Like typically, one of them gets stubborn and/or hears information that’s incorrect and then the other has to fight for them back. That didn’t really happen in this book, and I thought near the end it might, but I was happily surprised!
