I had high hopes the premise of the book had so much potential and I like how interesting the city was. Also I was curious about Maisie from book 2, but it could have been so much better.

The execution was poor and the romance was literally out of nowhere. Her mother wasn't even that dangerous that evil to go this extent but maybe that's just me.
