Sins of the Angels by Linda Poitevin, Lydia M. Hawke
slow-paced
- Plot- or character-driven? A mix
- Strong character development? No
- Loveable characters? No
- Flaws of characters a main focus? It's complicated
2.0
It was very hard to get through this book. I was not able to really get into the plot and the romance between the main characters was just bad.
Aramael and Alex, for me, do not have any what so ever chemistry. At first they both seem to simply not like each other and this does not change until the very end. Its not even a hate to love relationship as they just seem maybe a little annoyed with each other. At around the 75-80% mark they suddenly fall madly in love with each other and can't imagine life with ought the other in it. To be honest I think that Alex and Seth have more chemistry then with Alex and Aramael.
Another thing that bothered me in this book was the pacing. Not a lot of action until the third part of the book where we get a lot of exposition and a quick "final battle " .
All in all I did not enjoy this book and will not be picking up the next in the series.
