I do this thing where I don’t read the back of a book until I’m a few chapters in. That way I can have an element of surprise what the book is going to be about, and what trope we’re working with. So color me surprised been I started reading this book and realized it wasn’t a romance. But I couldn’t stop reading it. My ability to DNF it was beyond my control. Although one could argue that it’s part romance, suspense and science fiction. It gave Christina Lauren Soulmate Equation vibes, but with a darker story line.
