This is an incredibly powerful read and should be required reading for all. As someone who has always considered themselves to be an advocate for all, it was a good reminder of the fact that you can still unconsciously cause harm even when you believe you are acting with the best intentions.

Especially in our political climate today, this book shows just how harmful saying you “don’t see color” can be. It can be just as detrimental as being actively harmful or racist.

And if something about this book makes you uncomfortable or mad...sit with that. What you choose to do with that feeling is what determines the type of person you are.
