The prose itself is okay. A little dry in parts, but overall not awful. Being as it is though I can't justify the offensive descriptions of Mercy (“mountainous”, “elephantine”, “jelly features”, etc) and a (minor?) Jewish character (dirty, smelly, ugly, thieving, ungrateful, etc). I can only imagine what the rest of the book has to offer? Not worth the time or effort 👋
