The Shadow in the Glass by J.J.A. Harwood
2.0
This book was VERY underwhelming. The premise promises this grand gothic Cinderella-retelling. The main character, Eleanor (aka Ella), is the WORST female "protagonist" I've ever met, the London-setting was sub-par, and there were NO chapters!!! In addition, [a:J.J.A. Harwood|20528745|J.J.A. First of all, let me start with that final thought. No chapters? This was the first time I've read a UK edition of any book and I need to know . . . Is this normal?!?! There were 7 parts PLUS an epilogue with only a few breaks in each. I don't like stopping in the middle of a chapter, so imagine how I felt when there were no chapters, only parts that were 50+ pages each
