Solara is an orphan with incredible talents. She is a mechanic and knows how to stand up for herself. She finds an opportunity to travel to the fringe planets in a different quadrant of the galaxy where she can find work and finally live for herself and not running away from anything. she has a hard time getting away from earth but winds up encountering a soulless race, space pirates, and many near death experiences while trying to get ahead and make it to her destined planet to work. This book is action packed and very fun and will delight people who enjoyed Joss Whedon's Firefly as well as those who did not like it at all (like myself). Strap in for the adventure and see how Solara fares as she is rocketed around in the galaxy toward her destiny. This was a great audio book too!
