Okay, so I've heard about this book from a BUNCH of Booktubers. I knew I would read it eventually, but Fairyloot's August Box brought it to the top of the list.

This book was an interesting read.

Here are the good parts for me:
1. Great action scenes. Very clear for me to picture.
2. Awesome characters with nice backstories.
3. A fresh and new idea.

Here are the bad parts for me:
1. I did NOT like the asterisks and little notes, adding more information to the story. I thought these were useless details. It brought my mind away from the scene and was kind of hard to get back on track.
2. The first quarter of the book was REALLY slow. Flashbacks are NOT my style.
3. The chapters are VERY long. I don't like stopping in the middle of a chapter, but I had to for this book.

I AM going to read the rest of the series, but it is not one of my favorite books (by far).
