An entertaining read. I was invested in the characters, especially the parrots. The themes of this book are perfect for a bookclub - they're challenging, and lots of opportunity for discussion. I am unsettled about how casual the book was re: drunk driving, as if it is just an "Oopsy, I was young!" crime.
