Would give it 5 stars up until the last third/quarter of the book, when I felt it became slow and disjointed. Underwhelming ending for a book that had sooo much promise at the start.
Overall though I would still recommend it to others and I really enjoyed the sci-fi themes and unique storytelling told from the point of view of the "artificial friend". This is the first Ishiguro i've read and I look forward to reading more
