MARKUS. Ah, I Loved Markus in Resolute; the way he sassed Bast and always gave him grief was really funny. So when I got the chance to read Markus's book, I was all over it!
This book was just so good. Markus is in a really good place in his life, he's got a great house, a steady job, friends but he's missing love. Insert the handsome, mysterious demon, Sam, who he meets while on a failed date. Sam was so loveable, I wanted to just bundle him in my arms and protect him (even though he's a strong demon). I really liked that even though Sam was dealing with a lot of internal struggles and pushing Markus away, Markus was like, no that's not gonna happen lol. (But it was never like aggressive stalking or anything)
This was sweet, and so hot. I am in love with them together. It felt like there was so much story and character growth fit into 80 pages. 10/10
