The Inconvenient Indian: A Curious Account of Native People in North America by Thomas King

dark emotional funny informative reflective medium-paced

4.5

Indigenous history in North America is depressing. There's frankly no way to sugar coat the atrocities, prejudice and violence that persist even to this day. Despite the subject matter, King's use of humour in this thorough account doesn't sugar coat the gut punches, rather it goes a good job in highlighting the injustices in an engaging matter. Would highly recommend, especially for us settlers on unceded lands.
