This is not Shakespeare's Lady Macbeth and that is truly my issue with it. She is a bit milktoast and naive. They took this strong, power seeking, manipulative woman, one that has had many characters modeled after her, and turned her into this meek acting teen. Don't even get my started on the witches or the ending. Perhaps if I did not know the play as well as I do, or had not studied and written about the character I would've liked it more. This story left me with a meh and feeling like Shakespeare's Lady Macbeth would've laughed at this girl.
