It’s a slow start BUT it’s great once you get 15% in. The magic system is so interesting to me - like the how to magic works and what she uses it for and the idea that midwives are held in such a high regard is so fantastic. I love the demon plot line and everything. The fact the fae know nothing about humans also cracks me up. I truly enjoyed this book and am excited to read the rest of the series.
