After reading the 7th book beforehand, it was cool to read the original finally! This book was honestly such a treat! The killer was alittle predictable, and I could see how it’d be seen as controversial. But I still thoroughly enjoyed myself, as recently discovering cozy mysteries. I loved the main character - Lee Barrett, and the idea of her doing a psychic tv late night show. It was an interesting read, & I look forward to seeing what else is in store for the series!
Moderate: Mental illness
Minor: Child abuse and Sexual assault
For a cozy this one took an unexpected dark twist, that has half the audience unsure of the decisions the author chose to write- & half extremely disappointed. Regardless of the themes, I still thought it had some strong story segments that were in favor for the book. the decision to put a trans character in a bad light had some people extremely upset with the series/author
