This was an absolute roller-coaster with one twist after another, most of them being built up quite subtly and therefore difficult to predict.

Right from the start, we start with several POVs that get woven together over time, new discoveries being made frequently, and character relationships changing.

The feelings that come up the most are self doubt and living up to the expectations of others, while the overarching motivation for many of the characters is making the right choices for the higher good. The main characters are mostly young adults with turbulent family past, however they join together after they learn there is a dark power from the past trying to come back.
