None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell

4.0

I wasn't planning on reading the new Lisa Jewell release, as although I'm a fan of her work, when I read the synopsis and heard it involved a podcast, I wasn't particularly interested. I saw the raving reviews and a lot of people recommending it, so I thought I would at least try it out, and honestly once I picked it up it was so hard to put it down. I read it within a 24-hour period, it was so fast paced and intriguing I flew threw it.
The mixed-media element I found I actually did enjoy, despite my reservations. It was new and refreshing from Lisa Jewell and I think it is very popular and well-received by other readers.
The shocking twists and turns, I didn't anticipate the majority of them and I was really surprised. I think what let the book down a star was the ending. Unfortunately I don't think the story got fully tied up and I think the book needed a couple of chapters to fully round off the ending.
Also worth noting is that there is a lot of triggering content covered in this novel so hopefully there is a content warning list out there.
I highly recommend this book if you are a fan of Lisa Jewell, this is definitely some of her best work.
